Data and code for "Where China puts new computing capacity westward shapes carbon and water outcomes"
收藏资源简介:
Companion data and code for the manuscript "Where China puts new computing capacity westward shapes carbon and water outcomes". This archive contains the deterministic allocation, carbon-attribution and water-scarcity-footprint model; derived model inputs; the Monte Carlo driver; receiving-boundary, allocation-share and within-destination-weight sensitivities; electricity-source-mix and facility-weighted sensitivities; Supplementary Data 1–8; figure source data; selected final figure renderings; and documentation. The main reproduction entry point is `python validate.py`. In a clean environment with Python 3.10–3.12, NumPy and openpyxl, the validation script runs the deterministic analysis chain, the electricity-source-mix sensitivity and four auxiliary sensitivity checks, and verifies the hashes of Supplementary Data 1–8. The included validation passes 47 configured quantitative checks and four auxiliary scripts. Licensing is split by material: code under `code/` and `validate.py` is released under the MIT License (LICENSE-MIT.txt), while the data, Supplementary Data workbooks, figure source data and documentation are released under CC BY 4.0 (LICENSE-CC-BY-4.0.txt). The Zenodo record uses CC BY 4.0 as its primary license because the archive is predominantly data and documentation. The README documents third-party inputs, access restrictions, figure-to-source-data mappings and the small number of structural sensitivities that remain author-side calculations rather than outputs of the automatic validation chain.
