EDIA – Global Bird Monitoring Program of the Alqueva Dam (EFMA) Secondary Irrigation Network, Irrigation Block Alvito-Pisão and Cuba IBA: Occasional Observations [2016-2020]

The dataset contains records of all observations of birds species of conservation interest collected outside the regular Bird Atlas sampling scheme in the area of the Secondary Irrigation Network of the Alqueva Dam (Block A: Alvito-Pisão) and in the Important Bird Area (IBA) of Cuba within the General Bird Monitoring Plan of the area, promoted by EDIA, S.A. Data were collected in the springs and winters of 2016-2020, in 35 sampling squares of 1x1 km (UTM grid) and/or other points, distributed in the area affected by the Irrigation Block. A total of 607 contacts was obtained, for 25 species of birds.
