Here we present figures from investigating the impact of different rooting methods on various SAR11 phylogenies 1_Pseudomonadales_MADroot.jpg: Rooted with the MAD method, 10 isolate genomes from the order Pseudomonadales included. 2_broadGamma_MADroot: Rooted with the MAD method, 10 isolate genomes broadly dispersed across multiple orders within the Gammaproteobacteria included. 3_Rhodobacteraceae_MADroot: Rooted with the MAD method, 10 isolate genomes from the Rhodobacteraceae included. 4_SAR11_midpoint_rooted_phylogeny: Rooted with the midpoint method. Only SAR11 genomes and Aegean-169 as well as SAR11 subgroup IV are included. A phylogeny with the mid-point rooting. 4_SAR11_MADroot_phylogeny: Rooted with the MAD method. Only SAR11 genomes and Aegean-169 as well as SAR11 subgroup IV are included. Also included are 4 PDFs with corresponding numbers (1-4) with trees generated and SAR11 genera indicated on the tree demonstrating genera stability across the various outgroups used.
