Trust in mass media in Latin America and the Caribbean 2004-2023

The level of trust in mass media declined in Latin America and the Caribbean throughout the 2010s. In 2010, the share stood at 57.5 percent; 11 years later, it did not surpass 40 percent. According to another source, around two-thirds of the people in countries like Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Mexico used social media as a news source in early 2022.
