Stable isotope, ion concentrations, and mineral dust data from northwestern Greenland ice core (SIGMA-D)

We present stable isotope data (d18O and dD), concentrations of dust and ions, and morphology (size and circularity) and composition of mineral dust from the SIGMA-D ice core, northwestern Greenland.
To determine the annual layers of the SIGMA-D ice core, variations of stable isotope ratios, ion concentrations, and the concentration of tritium were measured in the upper 112.87m (from 1654 to 2013). The chronology of the ice core is also presented in this dataset.
The concentration of dust was measured from 1915 to 2003 using a CFA system. The size bins cover the range from 1.5 to 15.0 micro m.
The morphology and composition of mineral dust was obtained for every 5-year interval from 1915 to 2013 using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) equipped with an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS). In total, 150 particles were randomly chosen from each sample.
