Hydropower generation in Ghana 2019-2021

The projected hydro-electric power generation in Ghana stood at slightly over 7,000 gigawatt hours as of 2021. In the previous year, around 6.2 thousand gigawatt hours of electric energy were sourced from hydropower plants in the country. This was in itself an increase from 2019. The main hydro-energy facilities in Ghana include Akosombo GS and Bui GS.
