Early detection of distinct language development in infants of mothers with severe mental illness using fNIRS.

This dataset includes data from two experiments.
In Experiment 1, 30 infants (9 months of age) exposed to severe maternal mental illness and 30 controls listened to voice and non-voice sounds (environmental noises).
In Experiment 2, the same infants (30+30) listened to the same semantically neutral sentence ("dogs are sitting by the door") spoken with 3 different intonations: neutral, happy, or angry.
The .mat file contains the timeseries dataset, participants order is the same across conditions. Subjects 1:30 are exposed infants, 31:60 are controls.
The .jasp file contains the extracted averages and demographic data.
The Code and stimuli folder contains stimulus presentation code for PsychoPy, and can be opened and run in the Coder with the .wav files saved in the same folder.
The Time series plots forlder contains individual fNIRS data for all channels and conditions, with .m scripts for statistical analysis in Fieldtrip (version 20181231).
