Twelve mice were randomly assigned to two groups, with six mice in each: a control group and a CLP (cecal ligation and puncture) group. The CLP group underwent cecal ligation and puncture surgery. After 24 hours, the mice were euthanized, and the periventricular white matter of their brains was collected. The same tissue was also collected from the control group mice for transcriptomic sequencing analysis.
