According to the results of a monthly survey conducted by GEM Partners, 16.5 percent of respondents in Japan had the impression that Netflix offered content that could not be watched on other platforms as of April 2021. A comparison with other subscription video on demand (SVoD) services showed that Netflix was the leading service when it came to the perceived content exclusivity.
