Censoring Experiment

Censoring Experiment is a digital score that experiments with how an improvising performer reacts to online censorship. The performer plays into a webcam and microphone, and the composer's Max patch interferes with their feed - covering and distorting parts of the image and muting and distorting the audio. This performance features Elizabeth Jigalin performing on toy instruments. The work was premiered at the University of Malta's conference Mediating Performance: Technologies, Communities, Spaces (online).
