SDG 8.9.1 - Tourism direct GDP as a proportion of total GDP

This dataset reports tourism direct gross domestic product (TDGDP) as a percentage of Qatar's total GDP. Tourism direct GDP is the part of gross value added generated directly by industries serving internal tourism consumption, plus the related net taxes on products and imports included in visitor expenditure. The value is calculated as tourism direct GDP divided by total GDP, multiplied by 100. It measures tourism's direct economic contribution and does not capture all indirect or induced effects or the social and environmental dimensions of sustainable tourism. The uploaded Qatar figures are provisional estimates from Qatar Tourism and Oxford Economics.
