Ground displacement by means of Sentinel-1 data at Athens municipality (Up & E-W component)
收藏资源简介:
The larger metropolitan area of Athens has a population of more than 4 million people. For Greece, Athens is not only the center of political, administrative and cultural life, but also the fulcrum of rail, road (main roads connecting it to Thessaloniki and the Peloponnese) and air communications. So it is very important to have the availability of continuous information about possible ground deformation relative to Athens's territory. To achieve this goal satellite SAR data analysis provide very fruitful information on ground deformation, being able to monitor possible hazards and perform risk analysis. Here we report the results from Sentinel-1 SAR data investigation over the Athens metropolitan area (including the Piraeus site) retrieved by means of the Persistent Scatterers multi temporal InSAR technique aimed at mapping surface movements. The uploaded files are relative to the Vertical and East-West component of the displacement computed starting from the ascending and descending orbit Mt-InSAR outcomes. The covered temporal interval spans from June 2016 to September 2023.
