The dataset includes 9056 images of Atlantic salmon scale, and the results from 3 different age readers (the authors) aging the dataset. Each scale is aged by one reader. There are 8286 scales with sea age, 6238 scales with river age, all 9056 scales are anotated as spawner or non-spawner, and 5917 scales are annotated as wild of farmed fish.
