High-throughput sequencing analysis of mRNA in wild-type,GM1082-/- and lnc57Rik-/- mouse bone marrow-derived macrophages

At the epigenetic level, lncRNAs play important roles in cell differentiation and function. We identified novel long-stranded non-coding RNA (GM1082) in BMDMs, which may play an important role in macrophage differentiation and function.We used high-throughput sequencing to detail the global programme of gene expression and identified distinct classes of up or down regulated genes in GM1082-/- and lnc57Rik-/-BMDMs. Bone marrow cells from wild-type,GM1082-/- and lnc57Rik-/- mice were cultured in 10% FBS medium containing M-CSF (20 ng/ml) for 6 days to generate BMDMs, and total RNA was extracted for high-throughput sequencing.
