On Germany’s motorways and extra-local federal roads as well as state roads, all vehicles are counted at counting points.
On this basis, average daily traffic strengths (DTV) are calculated. The values of the average driven vehicle/24 h are output and the values for the pro rata heavy traffic (Fz > 3.5 t). The data form an important basis for transport or construction decisions and measures.
