The Caravan dataset is a global river flood forecasting dataset developed by an international collaborative team, which contains data from 2532 monitoring stations. It covers both dynamic and static attributes such as daily temperature, precipitation and river basin elevation, with daily records spanning from 1980 to 2022. During the creation process, the dataset integrated data from multiple sources including the Global Runoff Data Centre and the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts. This dataset is mainly applied to global river flood forecasting, aiming to provide 72-hour flood early warnings to support emergency rescue and disaster management.
