The data uploaded are decoded and extracted from AIS raw data for case studies. The data were used for validation and comparison with traditional models in the paper. The data consist of MMSI, longitude, latitude, speed, course, heading, navigation status, time and message type for all messages and vessel name, call sign, ship length and ship width for part of the messages.
