The fraction of apoptotic, autophagic and necrotic dead cells was determined by counting Annexin V+/PI−, MDC+/PI− and Annexin V−/PI+ cells respectively. At least 500 cells were scored for each time with a fluorescence microscope. Values are the average ± SD of three independent experiments. Asterisks show significant values (p2) and then by recovery in fresh medium (1, 2, 4, 8, 12, 18 and 24 h).
