Share of people in Belgium who had sex before the age of 15 2018, by region

The share of Belgians aged 15 to 64 who had sexual intercourse before the age of 15 was estimated to be around five percent in 2018. The precocity of sexual relations is linked to risky sexual behaviors who can favor the risk of STDs and unplanned pregnancies. From a regional perspective, the precocity of sexual relations was higher in Wallonia than in Flanders or the Brussels-Capital Region.In 2018, under five percent of people had sex before the age of 15 in Flanders. Earliness of sexual intercourse was, therefore, at its lowest in this region of Belgium.
