Eliminating COVID-19 Disparities in Arizona in Partnership with Vulnerable/Underserved Communities

The COVID-19 pandemic significantly affects the entire State of Arizona, but impacts communities along the border with Mexico disproportionally. A majority of Latinx and American Indian communities along this border have higher infection rates and less access to testing and vaccination. This supplemental study built upon the worked performed under phs004006 (i.e., targeted SARS-CoV-2 testing within defined testing deserts in Arizona and comparison of a subset of affected individuals who underwent the proposed testing and educational protocol with those who received the same testing through standard systems available in the state) and aimed to increase access to testing and related services for these underserved transnational communities.
