Responsiveness of the Health Care System in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Evidence from a Nationally Representative Survey

A nationally representative survey covering all 13 administrative regions in the country. The survey consists of a number of modules covering various aspects of the health care system: the health status of respondents, the number of chronic illnesses, and the utilization of inpatient and outpatient health care services as well as the satisfaction with inpatient and outpatient health care. The modules on outpatient and inpatient satisfaction with health care include the standard World Health Organization (WHO) dimensions of responsiveness: immediate attention, dignity, communication, confidentiality, surroundings, independence, choice, and in the case of inpatient health care utilization social support. The survey also contains modules on home care and satisfaction with home care. Finally, the survey includes weights that are nationally representative of age, gender, and nationality
