By analyzing the CAGE (Cap Analysis of Gene Expression) and NET(Nascent Elongating Transcript)-CAGE profiles of an HTLV-1 infected cell line, we found evidence of RNA processing. As a mechanism, we propose the role of ZC3HAV1 protein, that recognizes the high CG di-nucleotide content of RNA molecules.
