资源简介:
This dataset contains information on the European high-voltage electricity transmission network capacity, designed for long-term planning based on climate-driven factors. The capacity estimation is based on reanalysis and climate projections, ensuring comprehensive and accurate climate assessments.
We use projected meteorological variables (3,4) to analyze the location of the transmission lines at the georeferenced points of their extension (2) and maintain the unique identifiers. Using this data, we calculate the static maximum line capacity without exceeding the predefined temperature threshold for all line sections and each hourly time step from the datasets from 2023 to 2073. The procedure described in (1) is applied, resulting in the form of a probabilistic risk cumulative distribution for each transmission line is analyzed at a monthly and hourly resolution. As an evaluative example, the last column of our findings applies an acceptable risk level for thermal overload set at 0.1% to estimate the capacity of each line.
Extended methodology for calculating quasi-dynamic thermal capacity is outlined in the work by Sergio Daniel Montana Salas and Andrea Michiorri, titled "The Climate Change Impact on Power Grid Transmission Capacity" (2024).
