THE STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE OF THE CENTRAL ASIAN REGION IN UZBEKISTAN'S FOREIGN POLICY

This article explores the growing strategic significance of Central Asia in the foreign policy of Uzbekistan within the context of evolving regional and global dynamics. It analyzes the country’s shift toward a more open, cooperative, and pragmatic diplomatic approach, emphasizing the role of regional partnership in ensuring sustainable development, economic growth, and long-term stability. The study highlights key areas such as economic integration, transport connectivity, environmental cooperation, and collective security. It argues that Uzbekistan’s active engagement in Central Asia not only strengthens bilateral and multilateral relations but also contributes to the formation of a stable and interconnected regional system. The findings suggest that prioritizing Central Asia has enhanced Uzbekistan’s international standing and created new opportunities for regional prosperity.
