Effects of the CAP peptide on Arabidopsis seedlings

An extract from a gall-inducing aphid, Schlechtendalia chinensis, induces excessive or ectopic nutritive, vascular, and protective tissues in Arabidopsis, as observed in typical insect galls. The Arabidopsis-based Gall Formation Assay (Ab-GALFA), a method for the analysis of changes in Arabidopsis caused by gall-inducing insect extracts, has been used as a model system to analyze the molecular mechanisms of gall formation. In this work, the gene expression of Arabidopsis seedlings treated with CAP peptide instead of insect extracts was analyzed.
