Epigenic landscape of neuroendocrine carcinoma.. Homo sapiens

Neuroendocrine carcinoma is an aggressive neoplasm with extremely poor prognosis. It arises from various organs, such as lung, stomach, pancreas, esophagus and colon. Since few specimens of NEC were available, its molecular characteristics have been undefined for a long time. We previously conducted a comprehensive genomic analysis of NEC cases and unraveled unique and organ-specific genomic drivers of NEC. However, little is known about the perspective of epigenetic modification of NECs. In this reseach, we explored comprehensive cross-organ histone modification of NEC by CUT&Tag for H3K4me3, H3K27ac and H3K27me3, which is recently developed technology for epigenetic profiling.
