This conveying device comprises a conveying pipe for conveying material to be conveyed， which includes sheet pieces， fibers， and/or powder， and an airflow generation unit for generating an airflow within the conveying pipe， and the conveying device uses the airflow to convey the material. This conveying device is characterized in that: the conveying pipe has an introduction port into which the material to be conveyed is introduced; in the conveying pipe， there is a speed gradient in the airflow in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the airflow; and the introduction port is provided on the side on which the speed of the airflow is smaller.
