资源简介:

This point data layer includes the inventory of the localization of the populations of the herbaceous plant "Caucasian herb" in Wallonia. The Caucasian cradle is a species of ornamental origin that was introduced to Belgium in 1938 for its aesthetic and melliferous virtues. Exhausted from parks and gardens, it disperses into the environment and invades extensively managed roadsides, riverbanks, forest edges and grasslands. It grows in dense stands that suffocate and eliminate native plants and contains photo-sensitizing chemicals that can cause serious skin burns. In 2011, the Walloon Public Service initiated the implementation of a regional plan to combat the Caucasus rock. It is based on a detailed inventory of populations and their systematic destruction. The campaign to control the Caucasian cradle in Wallonia is coordinated by the SPW Interdepartmental Invasive Species Cell (CiEi) (SPW ARNE). Since July 2017, the Caucasian cradle has joined the list of invasive alien species (IAS) targeted by European Regulation No. 1143/2014. This data layer is the result of an inventory of the Caucasian crab populations recorded in Wallonia. This layer is enriched with several information such as the size of the massif, the manager of the area concerned, the type of owner of the place where the cradle population was observed, the date of the observation, etc. The Public Service of Wallonia ensures the best quality of data but cannot guarantee the completeness and exact positioning of the Caucasian cradle populations. It may also be that some populations have disappeared since they were reported, in particular as a result of management operations. The maintenance of these populations in the inventory is justified by the need to ensure their monitoring (the lifespan of the seeds is 5 to 7 years minimum).
