资源简介:
This data file contains clean data and information on variables related to fiscal decentralization, women's political representation, empowerment, political regimes, and health and education spending. The dataset has been compiled by combining data from multiple sources, including IMF-GFS, World Development Indicators, and V-Dem, among others. This dataset has been used to examine the impact of fiscal decentralization on social sector spending, considering the role of women's political representation as analyzed in our paper. Additionally, the influence of gender quotas has been explored. The dataset is an unbalanced panel spanning the period 2000–2019 for 54 countries. It is sufficient to replicate all the results presented in the study. Using this data, we tested our hypothesis. We found a positive association between fiscal decentralization and social sector spending (health and education spending), which is further enhanced by a higher proportion of women in national parliaments.
