This study aimed at revealing the RNA viruses that infect three human malaria Plasmodium species : Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium vivax and Plasmodium knowlesi. Blood samples have been collected from malaria-infected patients in Malaysia and have been processed to extract total RNA and to deplete rRNA and globin mRNA. High-throughput sequencing have been thus conducted using the Illumina HiSeq2500 platform. For ethical reasons, the available datasets have been depleted in human reads prior to submission.
