Lenses dataset for : The life cycle of the low salinity lenses at the surface of the Arctic Ocean

This repository contains Arctic lenses dataset, used for the scientific paper : The life cycle of the low salinity lenses at the surface of the Arctic Ocean. 'lens' files contain all the properties of all the lenses at every timestep. 'mask' files contains three masks to apply : mask\_filter.nc filters out lenses with lifespan less than 3 timesteps, mask\_merged.nc and mask\_split.nc contain flags indicating the type of the lens. 'diff' files refer to difference between the property in the lens and the mean property of the region it belongs to. **Please when using any of the 'lens' file, use mask_filter.nc**The remaining masks are optional.
