Particulate matter (PM10) -inhalable aerodynamical particles of 10 um or smaller – emitted from beef cattle feedyards can exert significant impacts on regional air quality and affect nearby communities and the environment. Data were collected using Tapered Element Oscillating Microbalance (TEOM) monitors at upwind and downwind stations in the 2011-2020 period. PM10 mass concentration data were recorded at 5-minute resolution, while meteorological variables (wind speed/direction, air temperature, relative humidity) were recorded at 1-minute resolution. Precipitation was recorded daily. The raw data underwent quality-checking including standardization by applying a 7-day rolling average and standard deviation correction, bounding maxima and minima observations within 3 standard deviations. Duplicates were filtered and missing values where linearly interpolated. Data were subsequently resampled to median point-estimates at hourly or daily scales • The data comprehensively summarizes 10 years of continuous air-monitoring and episodic sampling data on PM concentrations; a robust foundation for understanding the dynamics of fugitive particulate matter from beef cattle feedyards in the Texas High Plains. • The inclusion of on-station meteorological data, feedyard operational parameters, and regional air quality indicators allows for in-depth characterizations of environment x air quality interactions; crucial for enabling further process-based mechanistic and machine learning modeling in this area.
