Typescript copy of a report submitted to the Minister for Local Government by the Gas Advisory Committee of New South Wales formed in September 1939, and charged with the responsibility to: (a) investigate generally the conditions of country gas undertakings with the approval of the authorities controlling such undertakings; and (b) advise the Government generally as to the requirements necessary to ensure the maintenance of a supply of gas to consumers under the most economical conditions. The Committee consisted, at the time the report was issued, of J.J. Richardson; H. Tindale, General Manager, The Australian Gas Light Company; S.J. Anbrise, Chief Engineer, The North Shore Gas Company Limited; A.N. Campbell, representing the Local Government Association of New South Wales; J.
