Integrating Artificial Intelligence Into Business Opportunities and Challenges to Support Sustainable Development Goal Eight

Sustainable Development Goal number eight is about creating decent work and economic opportunities for all. Local governments can generate growth and jobs from the ground up through local economic development that leverages the opportunities and resources each region has. Local governments are in a strategic position to collaborate with communities to assess the costs and benefits of tourism development and to develop plans and strategies that ensure the sector's activities are sustainable. Artificial intelligence has evolved into a force for change in modern business, significantly enhancing the capabilities of business information systems (BIS). This paper explores the potential and challenges associated with incorporating artificial intelligence into business information systems. The opportunities include improved decision-making through data analytics, automation of business processes, and enhanced customer experience. AI-driven BIS enables companies to leverage intelligent automation and predictive analytics to operate more efficiently. However, integration of AI also presents challenges, such as high levels of implementation costs, data privacy issues, and the need for specialized expertise.
