CEM/UFPR Benthos of Paranagua Bay Region (Tropical and Subtropical WSAOBIS, BRAZIL)

Centro de Estudos do Mar (CEM) (Marine Studies Centre), from UFPR, has fostered or implemented research on the changing composition of benthic marine and estuarine biodiversity in infralitoral soft bottom and in itertidal salt marshes and mangroves. Time series samples and observations of macrofauna are routinely obtained in the Paranagua Bay region with emphasis on polychaete worms. Dr. Paulo Lana (CEM/UFPR) has indicated and provided many of the sources from which to retrieve biodiversity information.
