Lactobacillus paragasseri strain:UBLG-36 Genome sequencing and assembly

Lactobacilli are common inhabitants of the human gut flora and confer many health benefits. Mammals rely on the ability of the gut microbiota to degrade oxalate as mammals lack the necessary enzymes. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Lactobacillus paragasseri UBLG-36 in order to study the genetics behind the ability of the bacteria to degrade oxalate.
