This dataset was used to validate a tool that measures early childhood educators' beliefs and attitudes about inclusion and the validation of scores on the measure using exploratory factor analysis. Based on a varimax rotation, five factors were identified: (a) self-efficacy for implementing inclusive practices; (b) attitudes about the impact of inclusion on young children; (c) classroom collaboration with educators, families, and children; (d) services partnership; and (e) teacher mindset for inclusion. The tool can be used by programs to identify their early childhood educators’ strengths and needs relative to their perceptions about inclusion, collaboration, and teaching students with disabilities so they can target professional development more efficiently. The dataset includes general and special education preschool teachers and related service providers from northern california school districts.
