Syn-tasiR-VIGS: Virus-Based Targeted RNAi in Plants By Synthetic Trans Acting Small Interfering RNAs Derived from Minimal Precursors

In this project we have tested the accumulation of syn-tasiRNAs from minimal precursors included or not in a viral vector such as potato virus X (PVX). These minimal syn-tasiRNA precursors exclusively contain the sequence of a 22-nt miRNA target site, followed by an 11-nt spacer derived from AtTAS1c preceding the syn-tasiRNA(s) sequence(s).
