Global EC Flux Tower Bimonthly GPP Time Series from FluxNet2015, ICOS, AmeriFlux, OzFlux, and ChinaFlux for Product Validation

This dataset provides bimonthly gross primary productivity (GPP) time series derived from eddy covariance (EC) flux towers worldwide. It includes in situ observations from the FluxNet2015, ICOS Warm Winter 2020, AmeriFlux FluxNet, OzFlux, and ChinaFlux networks, enabling consistent and comprehensive validation of GPP products produced under Global Pasture Watch Initiative. For more details, please see Isik et al. (2024). Each data file is stored in pickle format and contains a pandas DataFrame indexed by site ID and bimonthly date (MultiIndex). The columns include: GPP_EC: GPP values derived from EC flux tower observations (unit: gC/m2/day). GPP: Corresponding GPP estimates from Global Pasture Watch GPP models (unit: gC/m2/day). LOCATION_LAT and LOCATION_LONG: Geographic latitude and longitude coordinates of each flux tower site (unit: degrees). IGBP: Land cover classification based on the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP) scheme.
