Metagenome-assembled genomes of Prevotellaceae/Segatella for PerR/OxyR conservation analysis

Oxygen tolerance is a primary driver of bacterial lifestyle. In the human gut, commensal bacteria show varied tolerance to oxygen. OxyR and PerR are critical regulators for bacterial oxygen stress response. To investigate the conservation of these two regulators in genomes belonging to Prevotellaceae/Segatella, we analyzed and published 4577 high-quality metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) of Prevotellaceae/Segatella across distinct geographic locations, and three of which were from ancient stool samples.
