Hydrodynamic and sediment transport data from Gull Island, New Jersey, 2021-2022

The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, in collaboration with the U.S. Geological Survey Wetland and Aquatic Research Center, collected hydrographic data to investigate sediment exchange between a back barrier marsh and open embayment through a tidal creek near Avalon, NJ, between July 2021 and August 2022. Data collected include time-series measurements of current velocity, water level, water discharge, suspended sediment concentration, suspended sediment flux, and turbulent kinetic energy in the flow.
