Rapid divergence of key spermatogenesis genes in nasuta-subgroup of Drosophila

11 spermatogenesis genes with key role in early, mid and late stages of spermatogenesis are annotated using the assembled genomes of 38 strains of Drosophila species belonging to nasuta-subgroup. The Coding DNA Sequences of these genes were subjected to various selection analysis using PAML and HyPhy to infer the mode and strength of selection acting on these genes in the phylogenetic framework.
