In recent years, the number of tick-borne diseases in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has increased. The metagenomic study of ticks was conducted in Hebei, Tianjin and Beijing Provinces, China, to explore the viral composition and diversity among ticks, with a particular focus on the viruses that cause disease in humans and mammals and novel viruses.
