02_JRC-EU-TIMES Building Stock Module

This Excel file includes a geometry based calibration of the EU building stock and is one of the building blocks of JRC-EU-TIMES. For the residential sector, a bottom-up estimation of thermal requirements is based on EUROSTAT building categories (detached, semidetached, flats), building vintage (6 groups), and insulation measures (roof, walls, windows). The calibration to the JRC-IDEES database is based on HDD, building geometry, insulation, and occupancy rates.
Some modules of JRC-EU-TIMES are made open as a separate dataset on a specific topic because the data can also be useful for non-TIMES users.
