Digital Archive from Historic Building Recording and Archaeological Watching Brief Work at St Mary's Church, Bentworth, Hampshire, 2024

This collection comprises image, text and spreadsheet data from an Archaeological Watching Brief at St Mary's Church, Bentworth, Hampshire. The work was undertaken by Wessex Archaeology in March 2024. St Mary's Church, Church Street, Bentworth, Alton, Hampshire is a flint walled parish church and is statutorily designated as a Grade II* listed building. The Phase 1 historic building recording work monitored the reopening of a blocked doorway in the north wall of the north aisle of the church. The Phase 2 archaeological watching brief monitored the footprint of the proposed extension.
