The objective of this proposal is to study the structural evolution of several rare-earth chromites RCrO3 (R = La, Pr, Nd, Er, Tm, Yb) from 4 K to 1073 K. We will study their behaviour through the magnetic transition to observe magnetoelastic effects and we will investigate the temperature evolution of several structural features, such as the superexchange angle and the octahedral distortion. The results of this experiment will add to those already obtained in the previous experiment, helping to rationalize the structural behavior of the RCrO3 family as a whole. Besides, the obtained information can be correlated with the spin state of Cr, as well as used to test theoretical models in the field of these quantum materials, which are becoming more promising every day in the field of the information technologies.
