LIAR-RAW

To the best of our knowledge, no public datasets of original reports are available for this task. Therefore, we collected two interpretable datasets, namely RAWFC and LIAR-RAW, which correspond to two distinct fact-checking websites with gold labels: Snopes³ and Politifact⁴ respectively.
For LIAR-RAW, we expanded the public LIAR-PLUS dataset (Alhindi et al., 2018), which contains fine-grained claims sourced from Politifact, using relevant original reports.
LIAR-RAW is based on the LIAR dataset, where the gold labels are derived from Politifact. To mitigate the reliance on fact-checking reports, we extended the public LIAR dataset by providing additional original reports for each claim. Additionally, we compiled these original reports into a single file formatted in line with the LIAR format.
