Genomics of Spore Killing in Podospora. Podospora

This BioProject contains genomic and transcriptomic data related to the papers of Vogan and Ament-Velasquez et al., "Combinations of Spok genes create multiple meiotic drivers in Podospora" eLife 8:e46454, and Vogan et al., "The Enterprise: A massive transposon carrying Spok meiotic drive genes". Short description: Natural populations of the fungus Podospora anserina harbor multiple meiotic drivers that interact hierarchically. Here, we generated high-quality genomic data of strains from a P. anserina population, as well as representatives of the related species P. comata and P. pauciseta, in order to dissect the genetic basis of meiotic drive and its evolutionary dynamics.
