This study demonstrates that bioinformatics analysis of host-derived sequences obtained from mNGS of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid can offer valuable insights into pulmonary host responses following pneumonia caused by drug-resistant GNB. We observed that cefiderocol treatment may reshape the pulmonary microenvironment and that this approach could support the identification of novel phenotypic classifications of pneumonia. These findings may provide a foundation for developing more targeted and effective sepsis treatment strategies in the future.
