Comparison of the transcriptomic profiles of human tumor kidney cell lines silenced for C1s or not.

With this study we wanted to identify genes that are differently expressed after a silencing of C1S in kidney tumor cell lines. C1s belongs to the classical pathway of the complement system (innate immunity), and is expressed by some tumor cells types, including kidney tumor cells. The silencing of kidney tumor cell lines for C1s, profoundly impacts the cell phenotype. Thanks to the RNAseq technology we were able to identify genes that are differently expressed and at the same time, biological processes that are modified.
